A Little Bit About Us
Let Us Tell You About The Garden Nursery
At The Garden Nursery, we have designed a space and curriculum to help our children grow and develop as independently as possible. This is managed through carefully planned activities and monitoring, through which we always aim to allow each child to develop at their own pace while fully embracing the content of the EYFS guidelines.
It’s through sparking this curious and inquisitive nature in our children, that we hope to give them the best start in their educational journeys, and hopefully leave a thoroughly positive, lasting impact on their childhoods.
You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach them to learn by creating curiosity, they will continue
the learning process as long as they live.Clay P. Bedford
At The Garden Nursery We Always Aim to:
- Enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent involving, community-based group.
- Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for every child.
- Work within a framework, which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families so that the children feel valued as individuals each with their own experiences and needs.
- Encourage independence and have happy, confident and well-balanced children – play is as unsupervised as we can allow, however, we help the children to be able to accept certain rules of behaviour and not to abuse the freedom of other children. Our environment, which promotes individual choice, also relies heavily on collective responsibility.
- Promote the three prime areas and four specific areas of learning, development and welfare by putting the principles of the EYFS into practice without compromising our Montessori approach – to build on what they can already do and to match the different levels of needs, interests and abilities to activities as we are looking at each child as an individual. We aim to prepare children for life, not school, but we recognise that school is a part of life.
- Be committed to continually update staff training in order to provide the children with learning experiences of the highest quality.
